In my recent researches into ArchiMate, EMF, GMF, and so on, I’m discovering some interesting connections between EA, ArchiMate and EMF and EPF (Eclipse Process Framework).
Somebody’s thesis. He says:
“The ArchiMate project did not deliver an official specification how the ArchiMate model is persisted. Unofficially the project team experimented with the eclipse modeling framework (=EMF). It is however to expensive to explain the EMF but what is important is to know that the format is based on xml technology and that the EMF community delivers transformation tools like EMF2XMI which realizes automated transformation to the UML persistency standards.”
So EMF seems the right place to go. Was the ArchiMate persistence method eventually agreed?
